Lady with Tiger

My new tiger art got here today. Yay. Of course, I had to unknowingly get an odd size goodie thinking it would be easy to frame, only to find out that... no... odd size... no frame. Bummer. 

But it's here. And I like it.  I do wish I knew what it said. I'm typically against buying things that say something I can't read and understand myself, but... I just totally had to have this. Twas a soul cries out for kind of thing again, not sure what that's about, Oriental matches nothing in my house, but I kept going back to it, even dreamed about it, it was driving me crazy. So I bought it. 

This shall serve as it's unveiling.

I like it. Don't care if it matches. It's going to look good when I frame it.  Need to take it down with my Book of the Dead Papyrus and frame them up good.  What an ecclectic house I am making.  My framed signed books, my Freya statue, my Oriental Tiger, and an Egyptian Book of the Dead Papyrus. Interesting.  I should find out what that papyrus says.  Whatever. Looks friggin awesome. :)

Freya Plays Jewelry

Yep. Freya's been playing jewelry maker.  It's fun.  It's hard.  I kinda suck at it.  But I'm learning so... yay. I want to learn how to make wire wrap jewelry, pendants and bracelets and such.  Spent the weekend just messing around with some of my new stones and beads, and made... hippie jewelry.

I'm getting the concept down, I need to get some better wire, nicer wire, but.. I'm getting it figured out.  Most important... I'm having fun making stuff.  It makes me happy.

Got myself a bunch of moss agate, tiger eye, amethyst, and stones that I have no clue what they are for practicing on. 

Go jewelry, go jewelry.

Retail Therapy

Not feeling so well yesterday, daughter and I headed out for some retail therapy.  I actually only went out for dog food, but... ended up shopping. 

Twas fun.

We went to the new crystal shop, and picked up some purty...

The new ones are actually only the 2 green and purple florite crystals, and the little cluster between them.  The big quartz daughter brought me from her trip to the coast.

Beautimus.

We got a few other things, but since the camera just broke, no pic-ey.  Bummer that.

After the trip to touch and feel all the beautimus crytals, we went to the pet store and came home with another zoo kid.

Meet rapturefishy.  He has no name yet, I'm calling him Raptor for now. :)

Seems odd all his red came out in the flash, he doesn't really look like that.  His blue shimmers green and his red looks black.

Hm. Wonder who's fishy this is.

Retail therapy.  Almost cures what ails.

How appropriate that I would pull this one today, that's exactly what's going on today.  My deck never fails to amaze me.

Back to Mystique's House

It was shocking how strongly this brought me back to Mystique's house.  Flashes of the computer desk, the living room, lol, kitchen too.  Like I was standing in the middle of the living room.  Then time warp on the front porch.

I even got the impression of burning sage for a brief moment.

My happy place.  A good place.

I love it there.
